Our Mini and Junior Football Grades (U9 – U15) will go over some basics of the season ahead – weekly games, practices, participating as player, volunteer, spectator…and plenty more!

There will be an opportunity for Q + A at each session.

The evening will be facilitated by our Club Captain, Justin Snarski, along with help from our Grade Coordinators.

Please RSVP your intent to attend, by emailing your Grade Coordinator.

Following the Alert Level change to Alert Level 2 on the 8th September, please read on for the impact on post season training and games planned during this time of heightened alert level.

NAIRNVILLE TURF

Team training and games can continue at Nairnville Turf, as the player numbers are below the gathering size cap for Alert Level 2. This is a busy space though, so please adhere to the below recommendations:

  • Gatherings of under 100 persons are permitted
  • Contact tracing on arrival to Nairnville Park
  • Hand sanitizing on arrival/departure
  • Please keep a team record of attendance at each session
  • It is recommended that players and supporters enter the turf from the gate nearest the courts and then exit from the playground end of the field
  • Spectators maintain social distancing protocols and consider wearing a mask when you cannot maintain a physical distance from others
  • Players who are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or are generally unwell are asked to stay home
  • BYO water bottle. Do not use the drinking fountain at the ground
  • Avoid touch points where possible
  • Refrain from handshakes and high fives

COVID-19: Move to Alert Level 4, August 18th

COVID 19 UPDATE

By now you will be aware that all of New Zealand has moved to Alert Level 4, as at 23:59 17/08/21. As such the following restriction is now in place:

  • All football-related activities, including team trainings are unable to go ahead at Alert Level 4.
  • You can train at home or outdoor places, but only with those in your immediate bubble.

Accordingly Capital Football has announced:

  • All JUNIOR (Grades U7 – U12) has been cancelled this weekend (this includes both Mixed and GOSL grades)
  • All YOUTH (Grades U13 – U14/15) has been postponed this weekend (this includes both Mixed and GOSL grades)

Capital Football will make a decision on postponed Youth games at a later date – this will be dependent on grounds availability.

Furthermore and in line with Capital Football’s decisions above, OJFC First Kicks is also cancelled this weekend.

These decisions have been made with the best interests of the football community at heart and to provide certainty for all this weekend.
